Moving from the city to the country can be rough, but can also go very well. There is a certain peace and quiet that you can find when moving out the country. Many people mention how they can see the stars at night when they couldn’t when living in the city. However some people from the city can become restless, they also may not like the small town everybody knows each other type of thing. In most cities people often ignore each to deal with the large populations crammed into small areas.
The 1988 film Funny Farm is an example of this as Chevy Chase’s character tries to deal with the move. He thinks it will be peaceful and great to get his writing going. It’s not what he though it would be as he and his wife struggle to deal with small town life. Over time the town and its inhabitants grow on him and he begins to love the place.
The move can be tough at times, but in order to learn and grow as a person sometimes you need to experience and live on the other side for a while.
